A 1,5 day discovery and prototyping workshop for natural language interfaces. This training is aimed to inform about the voice /natural programming platforms (like Amazon Alexa, Google’s Assistant, Microsoft Cortana), discover opportunities it creates for your business, and create the first prototype an Alexa skill

New developments have made it easier to communicate with devices using natural speech. Tech giants Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Apple are stepping up their game to bring voice interfaces to the mass market, with the installed base of the assistants increasing rapidly. With that, a plethora of new ways to solve user problems has opened up. The biggest challenge is to shift our minds from written words, pictures and buttons to a new generation of interfaces.

We believe in the value of getting your hands dirty. Therefore, our mission is that you accomplish 3 goals in 1,5 days:

  1. Gain a better understanding of the leading natural language platforms, their current state and future development
  2. Identify a conceptual overview of how these platforms can be used to further your business
  3. Develop a prototype of the lowest hanging fruit - an Amazon Alexa skill (application) based on an idea you choose to pursue first

In more detail:

Day 1: ease into the training by getting inspired and learning during our lightning talk evening. Start creating your own idea long list

Day 2: with the help of our trainers, discover how to apply natural language applications to meet the goals of your business, shortlist your ideas going into detailed concepts, pick one and make a prototype for Amazon Alexa

This workshop is primarily intended for those, who want to approach the subject conceptually, define business goals, discover applications and create the first prototype.

Whether you are in marketing, innovation management, a copy-writer, UX designer, developer or anything in between – if you are up for a challenge of creating a concept and a prototype of a voice-based application, this training is for you. No previous coding experience is required.
